  • Performs strength, strain and interference tests on a computer model, so any necessary changes can be made before any fabrication begins.
  • Easily converts 3D models into flat print drawings, completely eliminating draft errors.
  • Technologically accelerated software cuts drawing lead times in half, enabling us to respond to customer needs even faster.
  • Enables engineers to design beyond the liftgate itself. This software allows us to create the simplest and most efficient methods to ship and package the units.



  • State-of-the-art R&D Center is located in Southern California and is also the home to all Operational Departments.
  • Prototypes are built and tested with advanced computerized testing equipment.

  • Product Certifications are performed, monitored and documented by both Quality and Engineering Departments.


  • Quality control procedures are used throughout the manufacturing process, including the principles of Six Sigma, 5S and ISO 9000.
  • Maxon Welding School: Maxon welders undergo training in the factories and are certified under ASWA standards.
  • 100% of our MTB and BMRA models are cycle tested at our factory, eliminating the need for adjustment that normally takes place at the installation point.
  • All of our liftgate products undergo a 4 Stage Paint Process, which consists of cleaning, etching, priming and painting with high-gloss automotive finish, to ensure a long lasting protective seal against the forces of nature.




  • Maxon supports its product with the largest Customer Service Department in the Industry.
  • Maxon has a dedicated inside and outside Technical Service Department comprised of trained technicians that can diagnose the most difficult situations.
  • Our on-site computer training facility ensures that all of our employees are technologically proficient. Completion of comprehensive training has become a requirement for most employees.



  • The average tenure of our Sales Force is 9 years, which is the equivalent to over 100 years of collective liftgate industry experience.
  • Entire Sales Force is linked through our SLX System- a Customer Relationship Management Program. This software integrates critical communication among all departments, i.e. Shipping, Customer Support and Sales, for the sole purpose of meeting customer needs.
  • Offers demonstrations and training on every product line we offer at our Showroom located at our corporate headquarters in Santa Fe Springs, CA.
