Ensure Charging of Remote Batteries
When auxiliary liftgate batteries are mounted far from the vehicle’s electrical system, voltage drop will occur, and the batteries may not charge. Maxon’s battery charging solutions ensure that proper voltage is applied to the batteries so that they stay charged and in top shape for use.
A Complete Solution
The Trail Charger (DC/DC converter) amplifies any input voltage from 9 to 14V to the correct voltage for charging and maintaining liftgate batteries. In addition, the Extender module enables the Trail Charger to continue operating after the tractor is turned off for up to 30 minutes, while providing low voltage protection for the primary batteries.
